ON THE ISSUES:

HOUSING

Affordable housing is one of the biggest challenges in our community.

I support inclusionary zoning and smart infill that delivers more homes while respecting our neighbourhoods.

I’ve stood up when it matters—opposing the 44-storey proposal at Erin Mills Town Centre because it didn’t align with the community vision.

At the same time, I supported the Mayor’s Housing Task Force to help get more homes built, faster.

It’s about balance—protecting what makes our neighbourhoods strong, while creating real opportunities for the next generation to call Mississauga home.

EDUCATION

I was educated in Ward 9 public schools, and my four children have followed that same path. As a former School Council Chair, I understand the need to support both parents and educators while keeping students engaged.

I’ve made it a priority to be present across our school communities—supporting everything from robotics competitions and cultural events to sports and family nights.

Strong schools are built on community safety and well-being. Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and excited to learn, while parents feel confident in their environment.

We can do more with the assets we already have—activating green spaces for inter-school activities, strengthening partnerships between schools, and expanding access to arts and culture through venues like Meadowvale Theatre.

My focus is clear: safe schools, connected communities, and opportunities for every child to thrive.

Neighbourhood Safety

I strongly support our safety ecosystem—Neighbourhood Watch, Peel Police, and Crime Stoppers.

Through proactive town halls and community engagement, we’ve seen real results: reduced auto theft, an end to jewellery smash-and-grabs, and stronger awareness to protect seniors from fraud.

But safety is also about prevention. That means addressing mental health, supporting our young people, and investing in wraparound services and quality recreational programs that keep them engaged and on the right path.

Community safety has been my top priority—and it will remain that way until every Ward 9 resident feels as safe as the statistics say we are.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS

Movement is medicine—and Ward 9 is built for it.

From connected trails and green spaces to vibrant parks and pathways, we have everything we need to be one of the healthiest, most active communities in Mississauga. Now it’s about using them—and making sure everyone has access.

I’m building partnerships that bring energy into our neighbourhood parks—connecting residents of all ages to opportunities to move, play, and thrive. From our work with Sheridan College at Quinninenon Park to expanded spaces for tennis, basketball, and community recreation, we’re building a culture of motion.

And we’re making it accessible. This term, we made fitness free for residents 65+, supported Parkrun, and opened spaces like Erin Meadows Square for seniors to dance, stretch, ride, and connect.

We’re not just treating illness—we’re preventing it. And Ward 9 is setting the standard for healthier communities.

BUSINESS AND EMPLOYMENT

A strong Ward 9 starts with strong local businesses.

From innovation hubs like Mindshare Workspace and IDEA Square One to a growing number of home-based entrepreneurs, our local economy is thriving.

As a small business owner, I understand the challenges—and the importance of supporting local. Shopping and dining in our community keeps Ward 9 strong.

We are also home to incredible non-profits helping residents build skills and access jobs.

I will continue to champion our businesses, support job creation, and ensure Ward 9 remains one of Mississauga’s most dynamic places to work, invest, and grow.

TRAFFIC & ROAD SAFETY

I served on the Road Safety Committee in my first term, working with an outstanding team to promote safe, responsible use of our roads.

As a Ward 9 resident who commutes by eBike, I understand the need for balance—education and enforcement, especially when it comes to unsafe e-scooter use.

Speeding in school zones and rolling through stop signs remain real concerns. I am focused on improving awareness and safety so our children can get to school safely—and cyclists can coexist with our car-oriented streets.

The Aquitaine Road pilot sparked important conversations about what works for Ward 9. I will continue partnering with schools and the community to build safer streets for everyone, while supporting accessible public transit for all.
